As the Arcadian Duo, Fred Cory and Deborah Henderson have been performing together since 2005, bringing harmony and joy to audiences of all kinds. With more than 50 years of combined experience in the music industry, they have become experts at providing live entertainment that is both delightful and engaging. I am passionate about music education and believe that it has a profound and lasting influence on students of all ages. My current studio (since 1997) ranges from ages 5 to 75, and I am proud to have students with a broad range of musical interests. I am devoted to helping my students develop their musical talents while ensuring that they have fun and enjoy the learning process.
From 2015 - 2020, Deborah founded and served as coordinator of the string program for SONG (Sounds of the Next Generation), an after-school music program for under-served youth in the Cobourg/Port Hope area.
Deborah has played both violin and viola in a variety of ensembles, including pit orchestras, string quartets and community orchestras. She holds degrees in Fine Arts and Education from Queen’s University.

As musicians, we believe that music has the ability to move people in profound ways. Drawing inspiration from Baroque and Early music, the Arcadian Duo consists of flutist Fred Cory – who earned his B.Mus degree in flute performance at the University of Victoria – our love for this era of music has inspired us to play with authenticity and passion. Our performances are not just about the music – they’re about creating a moving and unforgettable experience for our audiences.
Fred is a retired registered massage therapist and continues as a holistic practitioner providing massage, low-level laser therapy, and diet education. fredcorymassage.ca
